HyperLabs Unlocks $23 Million in HYPE Amid Ongoing Vesting Schedule

HyperLabs has released 433,025 HYPE tokens into circulation, a move valued at approximately $23.46 million that triggered immediate scrutiny of the asset's market liquidity. While the unlock follows a long-term vesting program, on-chain data suggests a significant portion of these tokens is already migrating toward centralized trading platforms.

HyperLabs Unlocks $23 Million in HYPE Amid Ongoing Vesting Schedule

On-chain analysts, including Lookonchain and Ember, have tracked the movement of these assets toward market maker Flowdesk and exchanges like OKX and Bybit. While depositing tokens does not confirm an immediate sale, evidence shows that at least 75,000 HYPE from this batch was converted into USDC on the Hyperliquid protocol. Another 90,000 tokens were routed to deposit addresses, leaving the final destination of the remaining allocation uncertain.

This release is part of a 24-month vesting schedule initiated in early 2026. The protocol has previously adjusted its distribution strategy; for instance, the team reduced its February allocation by nearly 90% to manage supply impact. Price action for HYPE has remained volatile, dipping from levels above $56 to trade near $54.6 following the recent activity. However, the protocol maintains a buyback mechanism funded by trading fees, which acts as a counterweight to the new supply entering the market. Historically, Hyperliquid has absorbed large unlocks without immediate systemic price collapses, though investors continue to monitor wallet movements as the primary indicator of potential selling pressure.
