Banking remains the primary engine for the group, accounting for 47% of net income, followed by property at 27% and retail at 15%. SM Retail specifically saw its net income rise 5% to PHP8.9 billion, a result attributed to disciplined cost management and consistent sales in food and specialty goods. The mall business also showed strength, with revenues climbing 8% to PHP41.8 billion as tenant sales and occupancy rates improved.

The group's portfolio companies, including Atlas Consolidated Mining and Development Corporation and 2GO Group, Inc., further bolstered the bottom line. Increased copper prices and higher logistics volumes provided a necessary tailwind for these segments. With total assets reaching PHP1.82 trillion and a net debt-to-equity ratio of 31%, the firm maintains a conservative financial structure intended to support long-term capital expansion. President and CEO Frederic C. DyBuncio noted that while macroeconomic uncertainty persists, the company’s current trajectory supports continued investment in the Philippines.
