The annual rankings, compiled in partnership with RTI International, evaluate hospitals based on clinical outcomes, adherence to best practices, and the quality of resources dedicated to patient care. This year’s distinction follows nearly two decades of consistent placement among the country’s elite programs, achieved through a collaborative model with Children’s Medical Center Dallas and UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Robert L. Walker, president and CEO of Scottish Rite, credited the achievement to the collective efforts of the hospital’s staff. Beyond clinical excellence, the organization is actively pushing the boundaries of treatment. Recent milestones include the first U.S. implantation of an FDA-cleared device for early-onset scoliosis and the receipt of $4.1 million in National Institutes of Health grants to study osteonecrosis. The hospital also continues to shape the next generation of specialists, having recently graduated the 200th fellow from the Dorothy & Bryant Edwards Fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedics and Scoliosis.
