Serbia Targets Slovak Market to Bolster EXPO 2027 Partnerships

With bilateral trade hitting 1.3 billion euros in 2025, Serbia is deepening its economic foothold in Bratislava. On September 17, organizers of EXPO 2027 Belgrade will host a dedicated networking event at the Incheba complex to pitch business opportunities and tourism to Slovak industry leaders ahead of the exhibition's May opening.

Serbia Targets Slovak Market to Bolster EXPO 2027 Partnerships

The B2B session functions as a key stop on an international roadshow designed to cement cross-border ties before the Specialised Expo kicks off on May 15, 2027. Executive Director Igor Kovačević and Slovakia’s Commissioner General Lukáš Parízek plan to brief local stakeholders on the event's potential, utilizing a digital platform to facilitate direct corporate connections.

Slovakia remains a strategic partner, having been the first nation to officially sign a participation contract for the Belgrade exhibition. The current growth in trade, which rose 15 percent over the previous year, underscores the importance of this diplomatic outreach. The gathering, organized alongside Slovakia Travel and ATIS, aims to leverage this momentum to sustain long-term investment beyond the three-month duration of the Expo, which will host over 135 countries under the theme 'Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All.'
