FloLogic Launches Wireless I/O Module to Sync Smart Plumbing Systems

Previously, integrating external equipment with FloLogic leak detection required a wired connection to a legacy control panel, often restricting where devices could be placed. The new module removes these physical barriers, allowing installers to mount the unit anywhere on a property. This flexibility is particularly significant for large-scale residential, commercial, and multifamily environments where water-consuming equipment—such as well pumps, water softeners, or hot water recirculation pumps—is frequently located far from the main shutoff valve.

Beyond simple connectivity, the module offers configurable inputs and outputs. Property managers can authorize extended water use for specific devices to prevent nuisance shutoffs during normal operation. Conversely, the system can output status updates to external controllers, such as disabling recirculation pumps when a building is unoccupied. Douglass Phillips, general manager of FloLogic, noted that the technology serves as a central conduit for damage prevention, aiming to simplify the integration process for installers while increasing energy efficiency across the broader water management ecosystem.
