Pye-Barker Fire & Safety Secures Second Consecutive Workplace Award

Eighty-two percent of employees at Pye-Barker Fire & Safety report a positive workplace experience, outperforming the national average of 57 percent. This rating, verified by the Great Place To Work organization, marks the second consecutive year the Atlanta-based life safety company has earned the prestigious certification based on internal staff feedback.

The evaluation process scrutinized over 60 distinct aspects of the employee experience, ranging from leadership trust to interpersonal camaraderie. Results indicate strong internal satisfaction, with 95 percent of staff identifying their work environment as physically safe and 94 percent reporting fair treatment regardless of race or sexual orientation. Rebecca True, the company's chief human resources officer, attributed these figures to a corporate culture focused on career development and community support.

Management has bolstered this environment through significant financial and structural initiatives. In 2025, the firm introduced the ALL In incentive plan, which grants employee ownership stakes to eligible full-time staff. Complementing this is the Safety Net Fund, a resource that recently provided financial assistance to 80 employees navigating personal crises or natural disasters. These programs operate alongside the company’s broader philanthropic efforts, including partnerships with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and high-profile initiatives like the Helmet of Heroes tribute in collaboration with Jimmie Johnson.
