At the GASTECH 2026 exhibition in Bangkok, Hanwha Power received Approval in Principle from the American Bureau of Shipping for a 22,000-cubic-meter LNG bunkering vessel. The design expands the company's maritime portfolio, rounding out a range of medium-to-large bunkering ships capable of meeting evolving global clean fuel demands.

Beyond the hull design, Hanwha Power is leveraging the collective technical resources of the Hanwha Group. The vessel incorporates a suite of proprietary technologies, including dual-fuel generator sets, integrated automation, and comprehensive cargo handling systems. Hoon-min Kim, head of the company's Marine Solution Business Division, stated that the certification confirms the commercial viability of these integrated engineering and procurement packages.
