Energy volatility remains a primary catalyst for the Federal Reserve’s hawkish stance. Following a Houthi missile attack on Saudi Arabia, Brent crude futures spiked to $106.60, keeping inflation concerns at the forefront of central bank policy. Philadelphia Fed President Anna Paulson and New York Fed President John Williams have both suggested that additional rate increases remain on the table, contingent on incoming labor and business activity data.
