David Armstrong Captures the American Spirit in 50-State Musical Project

To mark the United States’ 250th anniversary, musician David Armstrong has released a three-volume collection titled My Country 'Tis of Thee. The project features fifty original compositions, each dedicated to a specific state, blending personal storytelling with the diverse landscapes and cultural heritage that define the nation from coast to coast.

Armstrong composed the tracks in his signature Heartwave style, an approach centered on uplifting melodies and patriotic reflection. The songs traverse the country, moving from the rugged coastlines of Maine to the expansive deserts of Arizona and the musical hubs of Tennessee. By highlighting the unique character of each region, the collection aims to foster a sense of national unity ahead of the Declaration of Independence anniversary on July 4, 2026.

"Every state has a story worth telling," Armstrong stated, noting that the project serves as a tribute to the people and communities shaping the country today. The collection is intended for use by schools, historical organizations, and festival organizers seeking to showcase regional identity. Following years of production, the work is now available through digital streaming platforms and physical CDs via the artist’s official website.
