Crypto Financing Reaches $1.3 Billion Amid Diverse Capital Inflows
Between August 16 and August 22, 2026, six crypto and blockchain transactions accounted for roughly $1.298 billion in new financing. While headlined by a massive noncash token contribution for ZeroStack and a significant debt offering from Ripple Prime, the week also saw targeted early-stage investment into AI trading and privacy infrastructure.
ZeroStack dominated the weekly volume by agreeing to receive $1 billion in MemeCore tokens from Puple AI and Blockcat. This noncash transaction involves the issuance of 3.5 million common shares and warrants, with Rudy Rong, a MemeCore principal, slated to become ZeroStack’s president. Because the deal relies on an assigned token valuation rather than liquid capital, it stands apart from traditional venture funding.
Ripple Prime secured $275 million through a private offering of senior unsecured notes to institutional investors. The company intends to deploy these funds to scale its U.S. prime brokerage operations, which handle digital and traditional assets. This debt financing follows a $200 million credit facility established in May, further bolstering the unit's capacity following its acquisition of Hidden Road.
Early-stage activity centered on AI-driven financial tools, led by NeoSoul’s $11 million pre-Series A round. The firm plans to build out its NeoTrade platform, which utilizes autonomous software agents to execute market trades. Additional capital flowed into niche sectors: Beldex raised $8 million for privacy-focused protocols, Twyne secured $2.5 million for its DeFi credit delegation layer, and Botanika closed $1.5 million to integrate physical storage hardware with Solana-based infrastructure. Separately, Blueprint Finance completed a strategic round led by Polychain Capital to expand its institutional vault services, though the specific dollar amount remains undisclosed.
